Tobe Hooper's
Toolbox Murders

In my recent conversation with director Lucky Mckee (MAY) I was informed that Tobe Hoopers re-invisioning of the Toolbox Murders (The1977 film
by Dennis Donnelley) is in production. Lucky also told me that screenplay is excellent and he expects the film to be even better. There are many factors working in the films favor. Here's a trio of reasons: One is the absolutely talented actress Angela Bettis (May,Carrie) the second is director of photography Steve Yedlin who was one of the major contributing reasons why May looked so beautiful as he served it's story without mindless camera gimmicks. And the third reason is Tobe Hooper who when inspired is a
force to be reakoned with. And if anyone want's to contest that just watch The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Funhouse, Poltergeist ect.I have to trust Lucky's word because it's coming from a man who is
an incredible artist that truly respects his craft. It would be wonderful to see Mr. Hooper shine once again in the directors chair without the interference of
meddling studio executives that can't find the space in their purely capitalistic sensibilities to allow a director to do his job.All respect to the man that created the most terrifying horror film of all timeCongratulations, good luck, and Kick some ass Tobe!
