The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003
Most of us are viciously cursing the day this remake was born. Imyself haveseen
the original Tobe Hooper masterpiece literally over one hundred timesand no
one will ever be able to discourage my judgment. My judgmentthat TheTexas Chainsaw
Massacre is the Ultimate horror film is final and will never be broken, by anything,
and that includes remakes or re invisionings,or whatever the hell Mikey Bay
want's to call his new production. I think we should all check out this bastard
remake when it arrives in theaters, for a couple of good reasons. Nostalgic
dedication aside, If the film makes a killing at the box office it will create
many more opportunities for fresh horror films.
These bloated corporations are all about money so if they see a fairly low budget
genre film making a large amount they will jump on the opportunity to make more.
Also the new TCM remake may encourage many folks to take a look at the original.
If that remake is a success watch the local blockbuster frantically order more
VHS and DVD copies of the original. So I will follow this films progress from
now on.. If you have any questions don't hesitate to drop me an e-mail. Below
is a link to a recent interview with one of my favorite actors
Mr. R-lee Ermy regarding his role in Willard. the best remake since John Carpenters
The Thing.
Ermy also talks about his role in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
