DAWN OF THE DEAD 2004
The release of Universal Pictures new incarnation of Dawn of The Dead is
right around the corner. I'll be completely honest with you I am actually looking forward to the experience of sitting in a movie theater with a bucket of popcorn in my lap as I
watch a good zombie movie. I'm looking forward to a thought provoking horror
picture that inspires me. I can't wait for the day that I'm exhilarated by a horror film again. I'm longing for lines around the block that I
actually don't mind waiting on because it's for a damn good reason. I'm 28 years old
and I actually remember the days when it was an event to see a movie in a theater.
I can't tell you for sure if Dawn of the Dead 2004 will be worth all of this anticipation. Although there were a few decent attempts, we were let down far to many times in 2003.
I'm hearing some decent things about this new Dawn Of The Dead and I'm not exactly sure who or what to believe. If it does turn out to be a good film, let's look past the fact that
it's named after one of the greatest films ever. If it's good then I think we should support it.
If it's a piece of garbage then we won't have to do much work to condemn it, will we?
The film stars Sarah Polly, Ving Rhames and Jake Webber. It also feature cameos by original Dawn OF the Dead cast members Tom Savini, Ken Foree and Scott Rieninger.
Dawn Of The Dead opens March 19th 2004.
